A WAVE FROM RAJASTHAN
It is almost two years when I traveled to Rajasthan. Sudden going through from my archived images of those wonderful days pushed me to relive those memories. Rajasthan, the place of Maharajas and Palaces. A place of culture, heritage, colours, jewellery, style and of full inspiration.
Rajasthan is a place of tie and dye. One of the processes is commonly known as Laheriya. This technique gives bright colours with distinctive patterns. Laheriya dyeing is done on thin cotton or silk cloth, usually in lengths appropriate for sarees or turbans.
Another tie and dye technique is familiar as Bandhni. The art of Bandhni is involved with dyeing a fabric which is tied tightly with a thread at several points, thus producing a variety of patterns like Laheriya and others.
Street shopping is another activity which always Rajasthan keep you indulges. One can never get tired of that.
Colourful fabrics, assorted handicrafts, energetic music, appetizing foods, flawless desert and calm camels are always in full swing to make your holiday a never forgettable one.
You made some decent points there.
