THE ALCAZAR CABARET SHOW, PATTAYA

This post is the longest pending one and finally I am sitting to write it down ( feeling so excited 😀 😀  ). This has been from my Thailand trip when I have attended one of the most gorgeous and glamorous show of the world, Alcazar Cabaret show. I had read couple of articles before going but couldn’t actually visualize properly about the show. So when I reached there I truly had no idea what was happening! 😀

What it is?

As the title of the blog shows, it is a cabaret show. This is a world-famous Alcazar Cabaret Show and a must visit place while traveling to Pattaya or Thailand. An entertainment show full of lights, music and dances. The actors who played in the shows are mainly transgender. There are also some male performers who transform themselves into women with makeup ( I found that’s a true learning).

History: Alcazar Cabaret established on 1981 with about 100 performers and staff. Back to those days, the Alcazar’s Theatre had the capacity of only 350 seats. Later they started with a new, grand and modern architectural theatre with state-of-the-art light and sound systems and it had the capacity of about 1200 seats in 1990. Now ‘Alcazar’ is globally famous with the reputation of the best transvestite cabaret show in Thailand and it is amusing hundreds of local and foreign visitors everyday by its colour and uniqueness.

Attractions:

The show usually starts with fusion of traditional Thai music and contemporary dance. Continued with different regional dance with music and gave a journey of all around the world in a stage. Literally they do dances of different countries like, India, China, Vietnam, Korea, Russia and lots more. After completion of the show couple of performers do wait for the viewers to come and take pictures with them in return of 20 or 30 Thai Bhat. That could be a nice memory to capture and take along with you.

Show Schedule:

They have daily shows at 17:00, 18:30, 20:00 and 21:30 and the shows run for about 1 hour.

Appropriate for:

Cabaret shows are mainly curate for adults and this show is not an exceptional. Better not to take any kid along with you as the show is all about adult jokes and showing their culture in a seductive way. So if you are a honeymooners then this is your perfect place to enjoy an evening.

Tickets:

The tickets of the show costs  THB which includes a complementary drink of your own choice as well. Book your tickets prior to avoid rush and get nice place in seats. A lot of hotels arrange tickets by themselves. You can talk to them for booking.

I love the entire show and trust me it was awfully defined. Colours, light, music, dance: what to expect more in an hour or so. The variety of music made me feel very fresh and enthusiastic. All together it was an unforgettable memory to cherish throughout the life. 🙂 🙂
