EASIEST HEALTHY CHICKEN PULAO RECIPE

This healthy, gluten-free chicken recipe has that hint of taste which will win your heart on its way to your tummy and you have to thank me later 😀 . It is absolutely effortless to make while having an amazing flavourful taste. This is one of my go-to recipes because it’s just one pan/pressure cooker and it’s basically hands off. How could you not love juicy chicken pieces, some strong Indian spices, brown rice and healthy fats? All you do is put them all together in a pressure cooker and cook. So sharing the recipe with you all.

 

 

Serves – 2

Ingredients:

Prep Time – 5 minutes.                    Cooking Time – 15 minutes.

 

Chicken – 500 grams

Matta Rice/ Brown Rice – 1 and 1/2 cups

Whole cinnamon – 2 inches

Whole cardamom – 6

Whole clove – 5

Potato – 3

Chopped Onion – 1 medium sized

Ginger Paste – 1 Teaspoon

Garlic Paste – 1 Teaspoon

Dried Methi – 1 Teaspoon

A2 Desi Gir Cow Ghee – 1/2 Teaspoon

Green Chilli – To taste

Salt – To taste

Keora Water – 1 Tablespoon (optional)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Process:

1. Wash the rice throughly for 3 to 4 times and let it soak for 10 minutes.

2. Clean the chicken properly and keep it aside.

3. Now put pressure cooker on the gas and add ghee into it.

 

 

4. Add whole cardamom, clove and cinnamon.

5. Now add the chopped onions and let it fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Don’t let it fry until it turns brown.

6. Add ginger and garlic paste and fry again. Add potato.

 

 

7. Time to add chicken and fry for 2 to 3 minutes.

 

 

8. Add the soaked rice and mix well.

 

 

9. Fry for 1 to 2 minutes and add 2 cups of water.

 

 

10. Mix well.

11. Add salt, dried methi leaves, ghee and keora water.

 

 

12. Mix thoroughly and put the lid on.

13. Give 2 whistles and switch off the flame.

14. Keep it for 5 minutes and serve hot.
