We all love to have ‘cheat meal’ once in a while but I feel it’s quite panicking. What if that ‘cheat meal’ becomes a healthier version of ‘comfort meal’ which not only works great in our health but also makes us psychologically happy. And today’s recipe is just like that. In this post I’m going to share a recipe of gluten-free perfect comfort meal which not only makes your taste buds happy but also mentally happy. So, let’s start:



Serves – 1


Prep Time – 5 minutes. Cooking Time – 15 minutes.

1.Semi Boiled Prawns (medium size) – 6
2.Boiled and Smashed Potato – 2
3.Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 Tablespoon
4.Finely Chopped Onion – 1 Tablespoon
5.Cumin Powder – 1/2 Teaspoon
6.Coriander Powder – 1/2 Teaspoon
7.Chilli Powder – To taste (optional)
8.Salt – To Taste
9.Chickpea Flour – 2 Tablespoons
10.Wood pressed Groundnut Oil – 1 Tablespoon




1.Add 1/2 teaspoon oil in a cast iron pan .
2.When oil heats up add onions. When onions turn transparent, add ginger-garlic paste and fry for couple of minutes.
3.Add smashed potatoes and cumin powder,coriander powder, salt and chilli powder. Mix thoroughly.
4.Switch off the flame and keep it aside.
5.Once it cools down take a scoop and take into your palm.


6.Place prawns in between and give a flat shape to it.
7.Make a smooth batter of chickpea flour, water and pinch of salt. Don’t make it too runny or too hard. Make a pourable consistency.


8.Now take a flat cast iron pan and add rest of the oil into it. Let it heat up.
9.Dip the cutlets into the batter and put it into the pan.



10.Swallow fry both the side for 3 to 4 minutes and serve hot.




Enjoy with fresh salads or as a side dish and make a full meal out of it.
