Street foods are something that explain the entire story of a place, specially when you are traveling to a new country. So whenever I travel I always try to taste the flavors from the streets. Because only these will let you know the original ingredients of their tastes. Being a blogger it is the best part as well 😀 .
In my recent Thailand trip, I have found so many interesting things in their foods and habits. Those will be posted gradually. Here my food journey is in a special market in Pattaya, Theprasit Road Night Market. As the name suggests this market only opens in the weekend that is from Friday to Sunday. Being one of the most familiar market for the locals, you will found the real Thai flavor over there.
If you are a real food lover then this market is absolutely your cup of tea. Starting from different types of soft drinks, snacks to sea foods, you will get everything that is originally from Thailand. Asian spices and ingredients will let your tastebuds happiest. There were a huge collection of fresh fruit juices and milkshakes in several stalls. The stalls were small but well equipped. Vendors were full with their items and buyers are in stomach 😀 . Different types of noodles to delicious desserts are more than happy to welcome you. I also found tables and seats amongst the stalls. Although those were almost full. Pork items were the hot selling items. These pocket friendly foods also includes Sushi which are quite less in price. I have found 5 Thai Baht for each Sushi (unfortunately I didn’t like it’s taste 🙁 ). Roasted sea fishes are delectable and juicy. Grilled chickens are also different from the other part of the world as they put some toothsome spices to give unique flavor to it.
Some quick tips for Street Foods in Theprasit Road Night Market
1) Take some extra times while you are visiting here as this market is much crowded and you have a lot to explore.
2) Try to get out of the market by 9.30 p.m. as local transports has less availability after that time.
3) Don’t bargain with food vendors because foods are already very cheap in price.
4) Thai people are very sweet by nature. So be polite to them.
5) Definitely try the fruit juices and pork items. Those are the best !
