LEMON – WHAT AYURVEDA SAYS ABOUT HEALTH

Disclaimer: Thank you for stopping here. You might already read so many blogs and articles on lemon while searching about the benefits of lemon. But I can bet that you can’t find out anywhere in the internet world what I’m writing here. It means lemon tastes sour cum bitter, naturally warm, eliminates shrub diseases and hives, Increases gastritis, is also beneficial for the eyes. It also cures cough, phlegm, sore throat and vomiting. Ripe lemon is very tasty.

I think this verse says all about lemon. In the 46th chapter of Sushrut Samhita we can see the benefits of lemon for a healthy lifestyle. Later studies say that lemon has protein, fat, carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, iron, Vitamin C etc.

 

 

Now here I’m sharing how lemon is a great healthy alternative when it comes to our everyday use:

1.Bring Back Tastes & Improves Digestion – Sometimes we felt like eating nothing and the entire world seems tasteless. Even this feeling is the longest chapter of pregnancy. Ayurveda suggests a great way to store and use lemon. All you need to do is cut some lemon into small pieces and some whole, clean it and put those in an airtight glass jar. Add some salt to taste and seal the container. Let it in sun for couple of days. After 10 to 15 days you can see the lemons are turning into brown, from that moment no need to keep it in sun. Take a 1/4th size piece of lemon to get your tastes back. It also helps to improve the performance of digestive system.

2.Reduces Constipation – If anyone is suffering in constipation for long time or you have hemorrhoids, drink lemon juice everyday in the morning. Consume it for two months at a stretch and stop. See the result.

3.Reduces Arthritis & Uric Acid Problem – Arthritis and uric acid problem is rising everyday in India. Regular consumption of lemon juice in the morning also helps to reduce joint pains which comes through arthritis and increased uric acid issues.

4.Good For Anaemic Patients – Freshly squeezed lemon juice gradually helps to improve blood quality and great for anaemic patients.

5.Cold & Cough – If cough and cold is something which always bothers you then take a cup of lukewarm water, add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and drink it. Take it 2 to 3 times in a day and you can instantly see the difference.

6.Helps In Asthma – Lemon works great for asthma patients. When any asthma patient is having breathing problems, take a lemon, cut it from middle, coat it with salt (go over the top), now warm it using flame. Just warm it not burnt. Now the salt will melt as it warms up and put like drops on tongue. Swallow it. 2 to 3 times preferably to have it.

7.Helps To Improve Menstrual Cycle – Regular consumption of lemon helps to regulate menstrual cycle and also brings heavy flow to normal.

These are all the benefits of lemon for our health. There are so many but I have chosen only these as I felt these to be much important in our regular life. These are simple to take but so effective. But if you are already into any medication or you are pregnant, I would suggest you to consult with your doctor and if you feel your body is not behaving properly after having these, stop having it immediately because always remember what Ayurveda says, “You are the best doctor of your own body “.
